My deepest condolences to the family. I was sad to learn the news of Mr. D'S passing. I worked for him at the kfc on North main St. as did my two sisters Clarisse and Maria back in the 90's . Such a great man with a big kind heart. May he rip and never be forgotten .

Richard & Allene Maynard

June 5, 2016

Our sympathy and condolences are sent to the family of John Daluz, He was a good, kind man who we were fortunate enough to count as our friend. He did a lot to make Rhode Island a better place for diversity to flourish. By his success in life and in business he served as a huge role model that inspired others in our minority community to consider going into business. He was a true leader, and we all will find it very hard to replace him in our community. Rest in Peace, John, you made us all proud to call Jojn Daluz our good friend.. With peace and love from Richard & Allene Maynard, of Providence.

Unfortunately, I never knew my cousin. I wish I had though because I hear he was the nicest person ever. who wouldn't want to someone like that in this cruel world. May the family members be at Peace today knowing he made a difference in many people's lives. That's an awesome legacy to leave. My deepest sympathy to the family. God bless you all. Much love

I think I met John for the first time when I was about 8 years old and my mother worked at the South Providence Credit Union when it was a store front in the shopping center. John became a long-time family friend who always had an encouraging word and a ready smile! He provided a positive example to the community, with a strong work ethic and commitment to family, friends and community. Thank you Ms. Bubbles and Toby, for sharing your husband and father with Providence for so many years!

May 16, 2016

As a good friend of Tobey's from grades 7-12, I never saw Mr. Daluz without a smile on his face. My mother worked with Mr. Daluz at Old Stone Bank and fondly remembers walking from South Main Street down Empire Street to deliver funds, laughing all the way at his jokes. "Vibrant" is how we would both describe him. Tobey, my heart goes out to you and your family at this sad time. Much love, Karen

My deepest sympathy to Rose and Toby as well as his grandchildren and sisters. John was a good friend of mine for many years. I first met John many years ago when I applied for a car loan at the South Providence Credit Union. I was a single parent with no credit history and limited income when John took a chance and approved my very first car loan. To this day I'm sure that was what inspired me to become a banker in order to be able to affect the lives of so many people in the same manner.
That was the beginning of a lifetime friendship and many years later when I ventured out on my own to start a new business his assistance was priceless. It was during his very first meeting as a comissioner on the Parks Department when he found himself in the middle of discussions regarding the granting of the license for Snubs. He advocated for it's approval and to this day there's no doubt in my mind that his input was what made the difference.
So to John's family, I would like you to know that he was a mentor to myself as well as to many others and that not only did I lose a good friend but the community lost a great man who was an advocate and mentor for many others. My heart goes out to all of John's family and friends but I'm sure that he's in a better place and though we'll miss him, we can take comfort in the knowledge that his pain and suffering is over.
