John L. Dane Jr.

This is a deep loss for us of a very special long time friendship that started in the 1960's in Stuttgart Germany. Some of these memories we were able to keep alive with many hours of phone conversations over the last 15 years. John will be greatly missed.

John and I have been close friends since grade school in Brookline, MA, when both of us attended Harvard Congregational Church. Over that time we continued our ties with many visits each year between John and Monika's home in Gloucester and my wife, Margery, and my home in Maine. Our hearts go out to Monika and her family and all of John's friends who remained so close to him over the years; it is a very painful loss.
