Not sure what to say?

As a young OR Technician back in the 70's and 80's I scrubbed with Dr. Davis hundreds of times. He was a father figure, teacher, very funny but one hell of a surgeon. I was a hospital corspman in Veitnam so we hit it off. Military men! God bless you Dr. Davis I still tell stories about you and our great team!

I was the newest anesthesiology resident in January 1975 when I was one day assigned to work in the operating room with Dr. Davis, Chief of Surgery. Far from being intimidating, he was a mentor and a colleague who made it clear that we were working together for a common goal. He was a great physician, a great teacher, and a great man.

Dear Wendy and John:

Bob and I want to express our sadness at the loss of your father, Wendy., and to you also John, losing a friend after so many years. Reading the obituary, we understood some of what made him a very special man. Our condolences to you both, Jane and Bob Card

To the family our condolences on your loss Dr Davis was a great man he will be missed .

Dr. Davis was a great educator, mentor, teacher and friend. I owe alot of who I am as a physician to him. He taught us how to think by asking the question "What are you going to do next Doctor?". He will forever be in my thoughts. My condolences and prayers go out to his family.

My father, Dr. Fred Clement, went to medical school with John, then lost touch for decades. Living in Burlington now, I brought my father to meet John again just a year and a half ago. My father died last March, but the late-life meeting with John, whom he admired so much all of those years, meant a lot to him. My condolences to John's family.

Thoughts and prayers to the Davis Family during this difficult time. Dr. Davis was an incredible man and outstanding physician and I was very blessed to have known him.

Although I did not know Dr Davis myself, I will always appreciate that he saved my brother Michael's life. Michael thought the world of Dr Davis and spoke of him often over the years. From what both my brothers, (Sean and Michael) have told me, he was a very special man, who you should all be very proud of.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
