Not sure what to say?

How deeply saddened we were to hear that Dr. Dayton had passed away on May 7, 2006. We can hardly express the love and gratitude we have for this kind, dear man. There is never a time that goes by when we visit or pass by Child Health Associates that we don’t think about the outstanding, compassionate care that Dr. Dayton provided for our 3 boys. He always had a warm smile on his face and interacted in a gentle manner that put our boys at ease. All 3 boys fondly remember hearing the...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Dr. Dayton was our first pediatrician and was a kind supportive resource during those first years of our parenthood. We missed him during his Washington years, then welcomed him back upon his return.
Three years ago Dr. Dayton helped us through a difficult time when our youngest daughter (16 years at the time) was diagnosised with Rheumatoid Arthritis. He connected us to an RA specialist, who said it was thanks to Dr. Dayton's request we were seen so quickly!
We are so sad Dr....

When I first told our children that Dr. Dayton was ill, they each shared memories from their childhood experiences under his care. He saw us through everything from sutures to multiple hospitalizations for the three of them and then our grandson. He will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathies to his family.

There are so many things you worry about when you are a parent for the first time. The minute I met Dr. Dayton I knew getting personal and compassionate medical care for my children would never be one of them.

His gentle manner always put my children at ease. What a special person he was. I hope his family knows what a difference he made to so many people.

we miss him so much.Have wonderful memories of times spent at gramp Daytons in the barn and in the woods.

John was a pediatric resident when I first met him while working as a nurse at U-M in the 1970's. When I had my own children, I chose him as their pediatrician, because he had so impressed me with his special way with children and their families. He will be sorely missed. Deepest sympathies to his family.

We first met John 25 years ago when he became our son's pediatrician. He went on to become a long time co-worker and a very
dear friend.
John was such a kind and caring person. He had such a special way of taking a sincere interest in other people. He made you feel special just for knowing him. We were so deeply saddened to hear of his death and send our heartfelt sympathy to his wonderful family.

Dr. Dayton was so special. The last time my son Hunter and I were seen by Dr. Dayton he went above and beyond. I was telling Dr. Dayton that ever since Hunter had turned three he stopped giving me kisses. I asked Dr. Dayton if he might help. He recalled one other time of this happening. He explained to Hunter that he should practice kissing his mom on the hand or cheek. Our thoughts were that he would get past this. God blessed this wonderful man. I still don't get kisses. I will...
