Not sure what to say?

John lead a life well-lived and his example should inspire the rest of us to follow in his footsteps. He will be sorely missed and I extend my condolences to his friends and family. I well personally miss his wise council and sage advice on the environmental and social impacts of ill conceived public transportation projects.

Dear Susan,

I will always remember John from the "old days" when we all called him Deacon.

He brightened every gathering with his wit and charm.

My husband remembers meeting Deacon ,about ten years ago, at one of Leigh's College Ave. gatherings.

We are both sincerely sorry for your loss.

To Family & Friends,
I appreciate the many hours John Deacon volunteered as a Sierra Club Leader in transportation issues, such as the Boston North/South Rail Link. He was always striving to protect his area, & make the world a better place.

In knowing John for so many years, I was saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. He was a wealth of technical information on transportation issues and always available, corrascible and lovable.
Susan, you are in my thoughts at this time of loss.

Susan, I am so sorry for you and for the loss of John... know that I and so many others will miss John's wit and wisdom along with his tremendous contributions to protect our environment. Be well. James

Dear Susan, Stan & I are so sorry about John's death. I met him only a few times, but found him very likeable and (this is so rare) a gentleman among railfans. We will see you on Sunday.
Best wishes, Judy Genthner
