Not sure what to say?

A best friend might be compared to a big oak tree in one´s backyard. You know, that one tree you go to for shade on a hot summer day, or watch its evolution in shape and beauty throughout the seasons. Then, a day comes when a high wind takes that tree down, and the place where it once stood appears empty and bare. What is left though are the great memories of times past, and what was once material and temporal is now spiritual and everlasting. Thinking of you, John.

Collette, Deans, Erickson-62

One of Highland High's Greats!
John was always upbeat, took care of friends and kept close to those of us who were besties during Highland's Greatest Year! We worked hard and had fun putting 1962 Yearbook together. We shared times at Reunions like we never left each other. I'll miss your smiling face

I took Mr. Dean's English and film classes. Such a nice guy was so patient with me and helping me to pass his English class. A man that retired from the FBI but wanted to do more and so he became a teacher, and a great one at that. You will be missed, until we meet again. Love and respect John.

Susan and all your great kids,

What a wonderful legacy for your family. John was as big as life and added exciting life to his friends and ward members when you lived in Denver. Who will ever forget his river trips...spills, splashes, and dutch oven desserts?
We are so sorry for his passing and know you will miss him very much. Our love to all of you.

Dear Susan,
As some people journey through life, they leave footprints-
of kindness and love, courage and compassion, joy and faith.
Even when they're gone, the trail they've left behind continue
to inspire us. This is how I remember John.
Praying God will comfort and care for you while you celebrate
John's legacy that lives on.

With Sympathy and love,
Cheryl Monk

Dear Susan and family,
We send our love to each of you at this tender time. May you feel peace and comfort in the good life you shared with John and in the knowledge you will be together again!
Our hearts are with you--Bruce and Kathy Williams

John and family have been wonderful friends of our family for many years. Dave and John served in the Bishopric together of the Greenwood Village Ward. There never was a dull moment in Bishopric meeting. Besides performing his duties perfectly, he was always extremely fun to be with. He treated the youth of the ward to many river rafting trips which were very enjoyable and the food was always fantastic! We will never forget his "Jonah and the Whale" roadshow. He wrote the script as well...

Such a wonderful man! Foothill Ward will miss him greatly. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for all. Sincere condolences to his family and especially his dear wife, Susan.
