It's been a year since you've been gone Padre, and I miss you just as much today as I did a year ago. Your presence and role in our lives was enormous, impossible to fill and you are greatly missed. All my love today and always, Maria

Today, December 20th would be John's birthday. Our hearts are heavy with sadness. We always spoke with John on his birthday and we can't do that today. We miss him everyday. Since he was a Christmas baby this just seems so much harder.
Will always love you Brother.

I am so sorry for your loss. I rode the school bus with John and was a close friend of his sister Rinny. I was looking to get back in touch with Rinny when I found out about John's passing. My condolences to John's parents who may remember me visiting Rinny in their home God Bless you all. Laurie Griffith Gourlay

My thoughts are with you all. It is a powerful, life changing event. From the few encounters and stories I think of John as happy, loving excellent food, and somehow a great zest for living life. Though his passing will be difficult, I somehow think he left us a model for living the good life. Wishing you all courage and strength.
