Not sure what to say?

Just found this obit on the internet. John was a classmate of mine at P.S. 8 and Roosevelt HS. in Yonkers, NY. We were great friends at that time. Last time I saw him was at the 50th HS reunion. I am so sorry to read about his passing. My late condolences to his wife Moira and family.

John showed us how to live life with gusto and grace, and he left his joyous mark on the paths of Long Hill Farm. I will see his smile and hear his laugh and strive for his excellence to honor his legacy here on the farm - forever fortunate to have known him.

We were deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. I think, especially when playing tennis, we will always remember him.

John was one of the nicest friends anyone could have. He was mine (Bob) more than 30 years. Funny, smart and so much more. A true treasure of a man.

John was always a smiling friendly face at LHF. His passing will leave a hole in our community for a long time, he will be missed. It was a pleasure to know him.

Dear Moira, We were totally shocked to learn of John's passing. What a wonderful friend and person he was. I met John many years ago, yes, on a Guilford tennis court. He was looking to hit for awhile, and I was also. We became fast friends. His cooking was just outstanding, as was his friendship. We so much enjoyed being in your presence, and talking about stuff! We will miss him very much, and Moira, we look forward to seeing you soon. Our prayers are with you and the family. May John rest...

A wonderful gentleman and special human being. Always enjoyed when I had the opportunity to play tennis with John. Rest In Peace my friend.

One of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet! Recall the day he married Moira and "some one" did a bad thing to the car he was to drive to Canada for his honeymoon. While I have only seen John and Moira a few times since the old days at Theta Chi, I cherish those days and happy that John and Moira were part of my life! Rest in peace my brother!
