Not sure what to say?

This really breaks my heart. John was one of the finest men I've met over these many years. I was Googling him to get back in touch and stumbled on this extremely disappointing and sad news. God speed, old friend.

Often think about you brother. The times you went every morning at 4:30 AM to delivers newspapers. When you thew a shoe across the room, frustrated about mastering a piece by Boch. You loved music- all kinds (except disco). I have many great memories. Happy Heavenly Birthday Little Johnny

"Happy Birthday" my John.
Will miss you always!!

John was an excellent keyboard player and a gentle soul. It was my pleasure to work with him and to know him. He is missed.

I can't believe that John will never walk through my front door to talk politics and teach the kids piano. My husband and I looked forward to his visits and enjoyed getting to know him. He was such an intelligent man with so much knowledge and so much to share. He had a kind soul and there should be more people like John on this planet. The world was better because he was in it. I will miss you.

When meeting John for the first time about 9 years ago, it didnt take me long to realize that he would be more than a piano teacher; he would be a life-long family friend. John was a very special man with good morals and values. He was very kind and caring and showed it in various ways: giving free extra piano lesson time, going to the Boys and Girls club and giving lessons, and in various other ways. John was an individual I admired and looked up to as a role model. I respected him a lot,...

All the words Ive read from this site are all so true...I started learning piano from John back in 2001....he always gave me encouragement to keep going whenever I hit a wrong note! He wrote so many beautiful songs for me in gorgeous chords! How he could write out so many songs for all his students was pure devotion...it takes a lot of time to figure it out and yet he did it with such ease...what a talented beautiful sole I will miss him deeply.

John was my son and daughters piano teacher for many years. He became a wonderful friend to us all. His kindness and patience was unending through the years. This fall I could see he was not feeling well, yet he still took the time to come to our home and teach my son. He was such a lovely man and gentle teacher, he will be sadly missed. Walters family
