Not sure what to say?

He was a great man made me find understanding and closure for some of darkest days and most of all he was the first adult I could truly trust Thank You for being a beacon of reason and light in my life when I needed it most

Dr. Deeney was my psychiatrist from 1985 to 1988. One of the most genuine people I have met in my 50 years on this earth. I thought about him and looked him up in hopes to reach out to him. And I found this. The world lost a very good man.

John Guinea MD was the best psychiatrist I ever had. He was available 24 hours a day and would call me back himself and was understanding with financial issues I was having. He spent a full hour with me (instead of the usual 10 to 15 minutes.) He referred me to some great doctors for care outside his specialty. And he really went the extra mile. He was a great man and a fantastic doctor. I have thought of him often in the 25+ years since I met him at my school and felt very blessed that someone so soft spoken and kind was willing to help a very confused kid figure out how to keep healing. He always listened with compassion and as a patient, you feel when its real. From Serendipity to Christie School, this man was always an advocate for me and I truly feel he helped me understand that my childhood trauma did not define the path my...

Dr. Deeney was always a gracious, generous and very knowledgeable mentor, colleague and friend who cared deeply for his children and families. I will especially miss our time together at the ACAAP Annual Meetings; he always knew the best restaurants in every town for dinner!

Dr. Deeney truly cared about his interactions with others and used many opportunities to educate and listen to those who collaborated with him professionally. Dr. Deeney was a vital part of Youth Villages, supporting many, he is greatly missed.

Dr. Deeney was such an amazing, caring & sweet person. I am so appreciative that I got the chance to work with and get to know him. He will definitely be missed.

Mike Deeney was a wonderful friend and mentor for many years. My condolences to his sister Kath.

I was sad to hear of your demise. You were a great teacher an colleague.
