John and I served together for many years with MCB-13. He was a good friend and a valuable shipmate. May fair winds and following seas follow him forever.

I was assigned to NMCB 21 either at the very end or right after the Chief had retired. His reputation for hard work, fellowship, and professionalism were often remarked upon. Undoubtedly, he lived life like he worked - dedicated, loving, and inspring. Take care Chief!
