Not sure what to say?

With the 20th anniversary of 911 coming up, I found an old letter of thanks that I had intended to send to John to thank him for providing free haircuts to Ground Zero Volunteers which I was able to enjoy while volunteering at Ground Zero in October 2001 with a colleague. Getting pampered with a REAL NYC style cut after being in "the pit" for 2 days was a real treat and raised our spirits. I wish he were still here for me to thank him again, personally, for his kindness and generosity. (Tim...

Was 42 years ago.

John made our careers more fun than ever. Photo was taken forty two years ago. I still think of him every day with thanks for making me secure and safe today.

I never had the opportunity to meet John Dellaria. But anyone in the beauty industry, especially those aspiring to conquer NYC, knew his name and how much he was LOVED by clients. And LOVED even more by his staff which is the real test of longevity and status in beauty culture. RIP John Dellaria. THANK YOU FOR ELEVATING OUR INDUSTRY TO AMAZING HEIGHTS.

Giving some time and though, I came to Boston in 1973 to the Boston Conservatory of Music on a 4yr. scholarship. I got a job @ John's Salon in Newtonville as a shampooer. I saw the TALENT THIS MAN HAD AND I COULD NOT RESIST. I BECAME A HAIR STYLIST. JOHN WAS AND IS ONE OF THE GREATIST TALENTS IN HAIR. HE IS SORELY MISTED BY ME!!! Sincerely, Michael Sayers.

My deepest condolences to such a loving, gracious, kind, welcoming, wonderful Family. I remember when I was a teenager, my friend got the most beautiful perm and style I had ever seen. She said she went to Dellaria. I thought to myself, I am going to work for this genius artist someday. I worked as a makeup artist while I was in college; and when I
finished college I was blessed to get hired at Dellaria Salons. When I was in training I was amazed at the genius discovery John...
