Not sure what to say?

John was my dearest brother-in-law. He was always so full of stories and made me laugh. One evening he and George and I went to his favorite fishing hole in the mountains. Well, I had never fished. He was pulling the trout out two and three at a time and telling me that it took an expert to do that. Evidently the fish were very hungry because the first time I cast my line, I got three fish too! I have so many stories of our times with John and Patsy. He will live forever in my memories of him.

john was a great coach (1949-50) at St. Francis in Denver. We all apprecated him
Richard L. Ott, former District Judge, Second Judicial District Denver

I can’t say enough about Coach DeMers and the impact he had on my life. As a Coach he taught us the meaning of sportsmanship, the necessity of being honest with ourselves, our teammates, our teachers, and to be respectful of parents and other students. I will always remember the times up at the cabin playing "Billy Goat Gruff" and fishing. My interest and knowledge about Colorado history came from discussions between my dad and John over tea at our house.
It is impossible to record all the memories I have of John but I am grateful for the ones he gave me. I will miss him greatly. My sympathies go out to Patsy, Renee, and the rest of the family.

Love always,

Amy

John was a dear and special friend who will be missed dearly by all. He was always there to support and encourage me whenever I needed it. John had a good sense of humor and we had lots of laughs together.
My special thoughts are with Patsy during this time and want her to know that I am always there for her. My sympathy to all the family.

Love,
Ann

John and I had a wonderful time building his cabin and spending time up in Alma each year. I enjoyed our time traveling around Colorado with John a few years ago.

Love,

Tom
