John Dendy

John was a special man. It was a delight to spend time in his presence. He had interesting stories of his experiences as a Texas Ranger, and was an excellent story teller. He was a master with his pistol too. I have always been proud of John being my first cousin. I appreciate that he shared his stories with my husband, Robert, and my children, Paige, Bowe and Samuel. Our family adored John Dendy. My parents, Woodie and Lela Dendy Howell, thought he was a special nephew. Mother was very proud of John and bragged about him constantly. My boys both did research papers on the Texas Rangers, including a visit with John giving them a personal tour of the Texas Rangers Museum in Waco.
