Not sure what to say?

Remembering John, one year after his death, is a wonderful way to start the day. John brought a smile to my face every day. He also was an inspiration to all the law enforcement officers he taught over the years. John taught a week long class on "Instructor Development" which basically taught officers how to be a better public speaker and instructor to other officers and to represent their respective departments to the public. His classes brought energy and excitement to everyone involved.

John and I worked together in the FBI, both in Washington, D. C. and the Knoxville Division. John was always a breath of fresh air with his quick wit and a keen sense of humor. There was never a dull day when I worked with John. He brightened my day and the day of everyone that came into contact with him. All the Special Agents in the Washington Field Office and the Knoxville Field Office knew John as "Mad Dog" Denton. A marine, through and through.

Hundreds of years ago the great philosopher Plato said, "The State is what it is, because the Citizens are what they are. We may not expect better States, until we have better Men". I thank you for being one of the better men my friend! Rack-man

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

On behalf of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Comfort Tyler Chapter (Syracuse), we send our condolences to the family. Forget Me Not Don´t remember me not with sadness, Don´t remember me with tears, Remember all the laughter, We´ve shared throughout the years, Now I am contented, That my life it was worthwhile. Knowing that I passed along the way, I made somebody smile, When you are walking down the street, And you´ve got me on your mind, I´m walking in your footsteps, Only half a...

It was my privilege to know and work with John. He was an interesting and intelligent man with an innate understanding of people. His unfailing sense of humor could entertain others in any circumstances. Of all the honors he earned, Emily (Bear), John and Julie (his cubs) meant the most. Rest in Peace.

John was a great neighbor and friend. He always maintained his sense of humor and had an interesting story to share. No matter how poorly he felt, he always kept a positive attitude. He was a great man, and we are grateful to have known him. Our condolences to Emily and his family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

John was an extraordinary man! He trained me as a new agent out of Quantico. I am grateful for his friendship and mentorship over the years. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to Emily and his family.
