Not sure what to say?

I worked for John and traveled extensively with him for customer meetings. He was a true visionary leader and exceptional business man. He had a warm personality and a great sense of humor. I deeply miss him and owe a gratitude for his mentoring.

May he rest in peace.

Such heartbreaking news to lose this force of nature and an old friend. I first met John in 1979 when I began my first job at Lummus. My friend was assigned to LTC where she assisted the clerical staff to the engineers, John being one of them. He never ceased to make us laugh and was a very bright soul. Several years later, I was blessed to work with him at Simcon where I began to understand just how brilliant his engineering mind was along with having that great sense of humor. He told us...

I worked with John at Lummus and Simcon. Besides being a good engineer, "he knew his stuff" ,he had a charming friendly personality. He was a great guy with a great sense of humor.I always enjoyed his sharp mind and his quick wit.
Rest in peace my friend!

Dear Pam,

I was so distressed to hear of John's recent passing - I had only just seen him twice in the past few weeks. I will always remember him as brilliant colleague and a sincere and wonderful friend.

May the memories of all the good you shared together be a source of comfort to you at this difficult time.

Sorry to hear about John's sudden demise. He was a great person and a great motivator. I first met John during his visit to India, John you will be missed. My sincere condolences to Derbyshire family.

John was a friend to me. Through his involvement I got introduced to the advanced software solutions industry. He eventually offered me the job opportunity that I consider pivotal in my professional career trajectory. He was also a mentor to me along the way. We travelled together when at Setpoint and AspenTech and would end up meeting regularly with him when our career paths took us in different directions. He loved to travel and I know he enjoyed every minute of it, a road warrior if there...

John was a dear friend and mentor to me and the things I learned from this man was invaluable. He was always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others even at his executive status and with his hectic world travel schedule always making time for mentoring. He would light up when speaking of his family and it was obvious he loved them more than anything.

Prayers to the entire Derbyshire family.

I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing. I worked with him at Lummus in the '80's. He was a friend and valued colleague.
