Not sure what to say?

Coach Devine helped me through one of the hardest times in high school. I will never forget his gentle and caring temperament that got me through that time. His support meant the world to me and I will always remember him for that.

Deb I would like to offer you and your family my sympathy. Pat Miller let me know that John passed. It sounds as though you and he shared an exceptional marriage. Ruth

Debbie... Peggy and I feel sadness for you and your family. We offer up prayers for you. But the sadness that is felt pales in comparison with the confidence we share in the resurrection and with the certainty of everlasting life. Sing for Joy, Debbie, in the promise that within the family of God all separations are temporary and all reunions are are forever!

Dear Debbie, Gregory & Emily and Family, My sincerest condolences at this time of incredible sorrow. May John Rest in Peace, in God's loving care. Debbie knowing you and John all these years from St Matthew's church in Inwood, NY has been such a joy. We've shared wonderful memories and laughter thru the years while our kids grew up. John was a kind, caring, dear friend, full of God's love and enormous faith. Along with his wonderful sense of humor and deep thoughtful conversations - he...

First as an administrative colleague and then, much later , as the dad of two track team members, I saw first hand the competence, care and compassion that marked John´s persona in his daily interactions with the LHS community. The entire Longmeadow community benefitted from his mere presence, to say nothing of the outstanding quality of his work. He left all he encountered better for the impact he had on them. Prayers and condolences are given to his entire family.

I was fortunate enough to work with John as a fellow Social Worker for Longmeadow Schools. He always cared so deeply for his students, and was always there for them. I will remember John forever at his post in the hallway of LHS, with a friendly hello to all and checking in with the students. I appreciated John's sense of humor as he dressed up in full Buckingham Palace Guard and stood at his spot for Halloween. John was always speaking of his family, it was clear Debbie you were the love of...

It was an honor to have known John and to share his work at Longmeadow High. In my 35 years as an educator. he was one of the finest educators. I knew.

I had the privilege of working with John at LHS. To say the least, an incredible human being. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.
