Pat became my neighbor and friend three years ago when I moved next door to him. A single mom with (2) teenage boys, he was the first to welcome me to the neighborhood. We instantly became friends and we always looked out for each other. My fondest memories of Pat were our early morning meetings on our adjoining decks, where I, with my coffee and oatmeal would come out to greet the day and he would be lying in the sun getting his daily does of Vitamin D. NG21799124,says it all to me. NG21799125; these were our Army Serial #'s. we signed up and did basic training together. Shocked is what I am over Pats leaving us way too early. I have known him from JET in 1954 and chatted yearly. I always considered him a friend. Having talked to him in the spring I didn't know that he was that ill. Another chunk of emotional loss. We were fortunate to have Pat as a neighbor for the past six years. He was a great friend and kind to all. I remember one cold winter day I let our dog out and the door closed behind me. I had no jacket on and my husband was in the city. I went next door and Pat immediately said get in here it's cold out there. He let me use his phone to call a locksmith and welcomed my dog and I without reservation. We stayed in his warm place until the locksmith arrived. He will be missed by us and our dog...
