John A. Di Castri

John di Castri's name was known to me from the 1960s as an accomplished architect. I met John as Joanne's husband in the 1980s.
When I now think of John I see his sparkling eyes, his caring and solicitous manner, his kindness towards others, his love of Joanne and his family. His death is a loss for those close to him, but our memories of John keep him close to our hearts.

Uncle John was like my grandfather, I will always remember him bouncing me on his knee at 1208.

Mr.Dicastri was associated with my grandfather Christopher Montague and they both did a lot to help the community-He was also associated with my mother Eileen Montague and designed the renovation we have on Blanshard street- She will surely miss him-

The last conversation I had with Uncle Johnny still makes me laugh.
I'll miss knowing he was always there.

We are very sorry to hear of your father's death and will always remember him through his buildings. We have many friends who live in his houses and they love them very much. He was ahead of his time.

This great man's life was a contribution in so many amazing ways. I didn't get to see him nearly often enough, but he was always an inspiration!
