John Di Fiore

John Di Fiore 91 of Scotch Plains, died on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 12, 2025, 1pm at St Bartholomew the Apostle Church,  2032 Westfield Avenue Scotch Plains, NJ. Entombment to follow at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Friday, December 12, from 10 am to 12pm at the Rossi Funeral Home 1937 Westfield Avenue Scotch Plains, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Memory of John to the 
St Bartholomew Prayer Garden and Chapel. 

John was born in Montazzoli, Italy and immigrated to the United States, settling to Scotch Plains in 1966 and has been a resident since. 
John was a lifelong member of the Scotch Plains Italian American Club and held many board positions. He worked for over 25 years with Bell Labs/ Lucent Technologies as a Mason / Custodian, retiring in 1998. 
He enjoyed making wine, gardening, hunting, trips to Atlantic City Casinos, sitting by the fire and was always willing to lend a helping hand. 

John was predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years Elena ( 2021), and daughter in law Laura (2012 ). 
He is survived by his loving children Nino, Mauro, Maria and husband Al Baranowski, Caring grandchildren Chris, Jessica and husband Henry Pineda, Melissa, Johnathan and wife Amanda, Steven and life partner Tiff, and Joseph.  He is also survived by his cherished great grandchildren Kaiden, Lia, Hailey, Elena and Luca.
