John was a frat brother and great family man. He exuded kindness and caring wherever he went.

John was our family dentist for 35 years. A more kind and generous spirited man we will never know.He was an exemplary Christian, who treated his patients like family, and remembered every one. He touched and blessed so many lives! He will be missed... Kay Castle and Family

Iam so shocked. I loved him like brother. Chris to you and your family my love and thoughts are with you. I couldn't come to wake. I've been immobile for a time. I will miss him and all his stories, and the ones we had together. Saugatuck and Nancy and John. Brooke too. He and I could really talk about ole Brooke. Love to you and yours, from a friend.

John was always generous to his colleagues as well as to his patients. Ever a professional.

Dr Dickens was a great man and a fantastic dentist! I had been going to him since I had teeth and now my girls also go to his office. I would travel an hour to his office when it was time for a cleaning! He will be missed. He really was one of the good guys!
