Read MoreLike John, I lived in Gayville, South Dakota. We went to elementary school together, and he was my best friend. I'm sorry I did not keep in contact with him; our paths went in different directions. But I remember John well; as a boy, he was gentle and sensitive, and I'm sure he held those qualities to the end. I truly wish I knew him as an adult.
