John Oliver Dimmock

I'm just now seeing John's passing. He was my professor and one of my mentors in graduate school and without some of his patient discussions and explanations, I would not know nearly as much about physics and life in general.

I've just learned of John's death. He and I worked together briefly to grow the science fairs UAH sponsored and he was truly - obviously - brilliant. I'm sorry that his last years were spent in a trapped mind. My thoughts are with family members who missed these extra years with him.

I fondly recall John and Linda as active members of OLLI at UAH. He was a compassionate leader.
