Dr. John T. Dizer Jr.

Mr. William J. Rudge, III just informed the Boy Scouts of America Leatherstocking Council of Dr. Dizer's passing and we want to extend our warmest sympathies. He meant a lot to this organization and has many friends among our membership. Bill remembers Dr. Dizer most for founding our first Eagle Scout recognition dinner forty years ago - a proud tradition that continues to this day. One that we will continue on forever. Our thoughts and prayers to his family.

I was saddened to learn today of Dr. Dizer's passing. I worked for him for many years at MVCC and thought the world of him. He loved teaching and truly cared about his students. If it wasn't for his insistence that I continue with my studies, I may have never earned my associate's degree and every degree thereafter. I'm certain there are many others who owe their professional careers to "Doc." He was such a brilliant and unique man who loved his wife, family and cars. I was honored to know him.

Had Doc Dizer as a teacher (1977-79) at MVCC. There was no better, what a great man.
