Karen and family: Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time. Our friendship goes back many years otherwise personal and job wise. Memories of John plowing over in Tariffville when we had big snow storms, and he would always make sure ours was done just right so we could get out to get to SPD or to firehouse. Many mornings at 2 or 3 am he'd be on our street and I'd be standing at the walkway withseveral loaves of fresh cranberry bread for him and the guys to have...

Karen and Family, We are so sorry to hear of John´s passing. We haven´t seen him in several years since we moved south, but we have nothing but fond memories of John. We remember a lot of of good times at the carnivals with him and being on LAFD with him as well. He was always cheerful and would bring a smile to our faces when we saw him. He will be missed by all who knew him. Sincerely, Ron and Sherry Castle

I am so sorry for your loss, John's mom would baby sit for my sisters and I, and I had the opportunity to take care of his mom while she was at Mc!eans, just a wonderful family, salt of the earth.

Karen & Kelly - We grieve with you. John was a true gentleman and helped us at SPD during the snow, and ice storms many times plowing the way so we could get where we needed to be, especially with medical calls. I enjoyed talking with him at work and the family picnics. He always had a smile to give. We thank you for sharing him with us. Sincerely, Bob & Sandy Soule Vandalia, OH SPD (1981-2018)

My deep condolences to Karen and family. I had the pleasure of working with John while employed for the Town of Simsbury. Not only was he a co-worker, but a friend. I enjoyed each and every interaction with John and he frequently made me laugh. He will be missed.
