Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to Chelin and her family. I was saddened to find out about Juancho's death. Although it has been many years since I worked with Juancho for some reason he has been in my thoughts this past month. As many people have already noted - he was a man that touch many people's lives not only for the work he did but because of the the person he was. He was someone who was there with a hand to help and an ear to listen. I pray for you and your family during this difficult time.

Dear Chelin and family,
I was so very saddened, as well as shocked today, when I read of John's death. I want you to know that my sons and I will be praying for you and your family in the days to come and especially at this holiday season. I only knew John through soccer, but I always thought of you both as two very supportive parents, not only of Daniel, but of the entire team (The Emeralds). May you find comfort in your memories and your faith. "For the Lord himself shall descend...

My sincerest condolences to the family of John Donahue. I met John a number of times and actually talked with him a month ago on the phone. He was a man who really cared about the less fortunate. I'm glad to have known him. He will be remembered in my prayers.

My grandfather Baudilio Acevedo (1931-1999) was a good friend of John and growing up I always admired John for fighting the battles that others could not fight for themselves. In this time of grief and sadness I would like to send my condolences and say thank you to the Donahue family for sharing your loved one with the world. I know he's up there right now with my grandfather relaxing, after all...he deserves to.

Your family is in our prayers. John was a man who was dedicated to serving those who had no voice. Thank you for sharing his dedication. He will live on in the hearts of many.

Chelin, I want to express my condolences to you and your family during this painful and difficult time. Although I never really had the pleasure of knowing Juancho, I felt like I did through in your eyes and heart. Every story or memory you shared lid your face up like a shinning star. Your incredible family, circle of friends and the kind of father he was will be missed, but forever live your heart and memories you built together. I truly believe that he will live forever in everyone's heart...

To a life long friend who will be missed.I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I am so happy you attended our 50th class reunion
Jack you can now watch over all of us.

I was young boy when John, later Juancho, came to our parish at Visitation in the Englewood neighborhood. He extended the hand of friendship, good works, and spirituality to the small Puerto Rican enclave of the 55th street community by offering a mass in the Spanish language and learning about and integrating Puerto Rican Roman Catholic customs into the life of our parish. Visitation truly became our parish in large part because of Juancho. Gracias por su trabajo aqui en la Tierra Juancho, y...
