I grew up with John living behind me. One summer after putting a new roof on his house, he had a proposition for me. He said for every nail I picked up he would give me a penny. I spent days on picking up all the nails and when he saw how many I had, he was taken back.He thought I would pick up a few dollars worth. I picked up about $20 worth of nails and he kept his word and paid me the money.
