John Joseph Donovan

John's message seems to be that life is too fleeting to waste time squabbling or to pursue materiel things; Do what you love and laugh while doing it.

I worked with John at CSH and was frequently moved by his compassion for the individuals we work with. His empathy, consideration, zest for life and his infectious laugh will be sorely missed and long remembered.

We were privileged and honored to walk with you this temporal trail; soon enough we’ll walk with you the eternal trail. Until then we’ll miss you.

What a run John, what a run.

There is so much to say that I can't seem to find a way to say it, so I thought I'd write down some memories of our hikes.

Mountain views, cool air, long trails, tall grasses, falling leaves, wide streams, AT shelters, cold rain, rolling hills, green meadows, abundant wildlife, orange skies, peaceful nights.

Hike on John, hike on.

To Johns family, my condolances. I am glad he lived his life as he wanted. Doing what he loved... As an avid hiker myself, he will me grately missed in our small community.
My prayers are with his surviving family and friends.
