John H. Dossett

Dr. Dossett was one of the few people who made me feel right at home in Hershey when I joined the medical center 10 years ago, as a nervous foreign medical graduate / pediatrician. He had known the Brands, who played a pivotal role in setting up both medical and surgical therapy for patients with Hansen's disease in Vellore, India.
His soft-spoken manner in the clinic and the floors quieted his most anxious little patients, their parents, and stressed out colleagues.

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of this kind man, a friend in our younger years, occasional physician to some of our children & colleague at the med center. Dr John was my inspection, my role model, I love him so much he just like Dad to me , and Darlene welcome me into Thierry home with open heart full of loved , he was a wonderful person he will be miss , Rest In Peace sir

I knew John for over three decades. He was a fine physician and a gentleman's gentleman. He was my daughter's first pedatrician. She loved Doctor John. All my condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss of this exceptionally kind man who had a bright smile when talking about his family. It was a privilege to witness his skillful care and compassion for children and parents, and it was a blessing to have his support when my husband was dying. He taught us all how to treat people.
