John, It's been a long time since you've departed us here in Arizona but I was just thinking about you last week and recalling great memories of working together at the Tucson Chamber.

Ah, John. My life is so much richer for having been your friend. A brief list of the things you taught me: How to get into the lotus position when were were in the hospital together; appreciation for Punk; that Pete Townshend was a God; that despite our attempts at playing in a band, I was no David Lee Roth; witchcraft doesn't work; fireworks do; it's possible to have an entire drum kit made of nothing but carpet and masking tape....so many more.

My heart goes out to John's family and friends, to all who now miss him dearly. He was an amiable, sociable, gallant , green-thumbed, generous, enthusiastic and civil neighbor at Ochoa Court. It was always good cheer and good sport to discuss politics with John from our very different, but mutually respectful, perspectives. I am saddened that he has left this world so soon: the world was better off for his example. Deep peace to all who mourn his passing.

Words are inadequate to express how I feel about John and his passing. What a dear friend he was to me through the years and over many miles. Our lives took different paths but somehow stayed connected. I will miss him greatly. My thoughts are with you Bernie, Carol, and Jimmy.

I will miss your laughter, your heart, your gentle nature and your passion for life. My prayers are with your family and those closest to you--they have truly lost a wonderous man.

John was like a brother to me for the last 25 years. We could always go to each other for support. A day doesn't go by that he won't be in my thoughts. The experiences we shared are what makes me the person I am today. Gods speed my friend.

Deepest sympathy to you. I only met John once, years ago, but have never forgotten his open, cheerful face.
