Not sure what to say?

John,
Today marks the first year of your departure. We have thought about you often, and shared quite a few humorous stories about our lives/family.
You would haved loved to have met your new grandson, TJ. He is a happy, healthy and very busy little fellow! You would smile if you saw his big, bright eyes!!
I will always remember our last four days together and how meaningful they were for us.
You will never be forgotten!!!!!!

Your wife,

Happy Birthday John!!!

Daddy/Poppy

Today, January 12 would have been your 67 birthday. We wish you were here so we could celebrate this day with you.

Love you always,

Nikita, Shai', Taylor & Lundon

Dear Daddy/Poppy,

We certainly missed your smiling face this Christmas. Christmas was just not the same without you. We think about you every day. You are always in our prayers and hearts. You may be gone from us, but you will never be forgotten!!!!

Love always,

Nikita, Shai', Taylor, and Lundon

Dear Douglas family,
I worked with John when I was a grad student and employed at Home Depot (way back when there were 24 hour stores) in North Richland Hills. I was very pleased when I saw him a few years ago at the Depot near my house on the East side. He discussed his cancer and was very upbeat as usual. John was always a nice and very decent man. I appreciated his management style and overall intellect about people. He taught us much about working with the public and with others....

Dear Dad/Poppy...This is our first Thanksgiving with out you. You are here with us in spirt. We miss you, gone but never forgotten.

I am so sorry

Joyce, I am praying for your continued strength during your time of bereavement. Just know that your memories and deep love for John will overshadow the pain of his loss as time passes.
