Not sure what to say?

Father Dowd was my Religion teacher at Servite High school in 1974. He actually succeeded in making philosophy interesting. May he rest in peace.

Can't believe that it has already been 18 years since John's passing! As previously mentioned, I was a fellow Servite student with John. I would later go in a different direction and lost touch with him. In 2001 I would become an ordained Catholic Permanent Deacon. I mention him every day in my prayer list. My condolences to Father Dowd's family and to his brothers on the loss of your loved one. I had the pleasure of knowing Father as a teacher at Mundelein Seminary. I always looked forward to his class because he would usually tell us a story about his ministry as a priest. It was clear from his stories, and from the way he told them, that he loved being a priest and he loved the people God called him to serve. May he rest in the Lord's eternal peace. Amen.
