Our hearts go out to all of you on your loss. John was one of a kind and a most respected gentleman. We will never forget all the kindness he always showed to our family when we shared the old neighborhood. One of our favorite family stories occurred when we moved into Frothingham Road house as a new blended family, John Arnold Dowd was out walking and met a new neighborhood boy. Imagine his surprise when he asked the boy's name and the little boy looked up...

So sorry for your loss. I worked with your dad for many years at Denny's. He was a wonderful man. I enjoyed waffles with him after the weekend bar rush was over. Those were some of my best memories at Denny's
