Not sure what to say?

To Chris & Mike, I´m so sorry to read of your Dad´s passing.I knew him through your Mom,Liz,who was my roommate at Wesson Woman´s Hospital when she had you,Chris,in November 1969,& I had my son,Edmund.I moved to England in 1973,and we kept in touch via Christmas cards.I remember being shocked when your Dad wrote to me in 1999,to tell me your Mom had passed away.Your Dad & I kept in touch every Christmas for a few years after that, but, sadly, somehow lost touch.Another connection is that my...

To the Dowd family - I got to know Yaco when I moved to Brunswick St in the late eighties. He was my Mail carrier. We talked almost every day. He always had a smile and a good story to tell. Probably walked 20 miles a day on his route. My prayers are with you all.

I feel for everyone, especially his family members' loss, as Yaco was an incredible person and a great friend to all. I enjoyed working with Yaco for 20 years at the Forest Park postal station, and he always shared his happy positive energy. My pleasure to have Yaco as a friend. Charlie Hill

Mike, I I was sorry to hear about your Dad in this mornings paper. You are both in my prayers....

We miss his visits 2 to 3 times a week to sit with Eddie and talk about old times. Love to Chris and Michael for the loss of their father.

We very saddened to hear about Yaco´s passing. He was our favorite mailman and an all around great guy. He will be missed. Our sincerest condolences.

Rest in peace. My condolences to the family.

So sorry for your loss, Yaco was a lot of fun to be around. Spent many a day at the JBO and was proud to have marched with him in the St Patricks day Parade

Chris, my sincerest condolences upon the passing of your dad. From my earliest years starting in 1951, living across the street from Yaco, on Cleveland Street, I can remember he was the life of the party. My Mom loved Yaco and I am sure he will receive a big welcome from her. So now, he is with his brothers, and I bet there will a good time with the Dowd brothers up in Heaven as they gather for St. Patrick's Day. Reflect on the many memories, of your dad and they will bring you solace. May...
