John Garrett Dowker

Garrett was always a joy to be around. I first met him when he began playing the big 11 on 11 soccer games Sunday mornings on Fuller Field in Ann Arbor in 1991. He was a great runner for an older guy competing against guys who were, generally 15 to 20 years younger than he. He also played in the rec league monday-wednesday evening leagues with me. Garrett was a joy to be around. His sense of humor was infectious and he brightened my day whenever we spoke. He was a good teammate to have in the Golden Masters Hockey League and his fun-loving attitude made the locker room as fun as the game. He will be missed by all that knew him.

You will be missed on the ice and in the locker room.
