John was born on April 7, 1982 and passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. John was a resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts at the time of passing. Jack was a graduate of Joseph Case High School in Swansea, and went on to make his career as an offshore lobsterman. He was a friend of Bill W. Services will be under the care of Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. (MANOMET) Plymouth. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19, at the Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. (MANOMET) Plymouth, from 3:00 till 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the next day in St. Bonaventure's Church, Manomet, at 10:00 am. Burial will take place in Manomet Cemetery. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Brook Retreat Men's Program, 55 Brook St. Plympton MA 02367.

My condolences for the loss of Jack. When he was young he would visit his dad iwho lived in same apt house as myself. I would take Jack, Megan and Michael swimming at American legion. Jack was such a nice kid and nice to be around. He was too young to die but God needed him for a reason. Prayers for his family and children.

My Condolences to the Downes family. I remember Jack as a Mite A with the Plymouth Youth Hockey team that my son was on, he was a speedster for sure. Keep him in your hearts, think only of the good times and be assured that he's with you.
