Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of working with John at UT for a number of years. He was a great leader, great educator, and a better person. He was a great supporter of his students and his faculty. My condolences to his family

During my time at UT, John was a faculty member and then department chair. He was one of the two best chairs with whom I worked. He was quiet even in the face of challenges from colleagues and administrators. He reminded me of John Wayne's character in The Quiet Man. He always focused on the end game and didn't seem to get distracted by the trials and tribulations of day to day life.
My sympathies to his family and friends. The world has lost an gentle soul and it will be a poorer place...

I remember John when I was a member of Hope Lutheran Church 25 years ago...a faithful and a good man. Never too busy to help. Rest in Peace John. Doris Coombs, Grafton, Wisconsin

Drowatzky Family, My condolences on the loss of your father. Both your parents were always kind to me through the years. I loved driving and seeing Mr. Drowatzky walking and Kara walking down Orchard Rd in the morning. May your memories of your Dad bring your comfort not only in the hard times but the good times too. He is always just a thought away.

Rest John, until you hear at dawn, the low, clear reveille of God. Thank you for your service to this nation. U.S. Army.

I attended North High School, Wichita with John graduating in 1953. He was fairly quiet then, but knew he was very smart. So sorry for his familie's loss.
