Not sure what to say?

John spent nearly every Saturday from January till May of 2018 with us working on the car listening to his “oldies” music and telling us stories. We often dined on Subway sandwiches (Italian BMT was his favorite) and Girl Scout cookies. He was very patient and encouraging with my son Joseph. I think he was thrilled that the younger generation still had an interest in fixing up cars. Without his help I know the project would not have come out nearly so good nor as quickly. We finished it up...

The last time I saw John, we were at a family gathering in Oceanside, CA hosted by my cousin Joanne and her husband, Fernando. We had a wonderful time that day, meeting John as well as cousin Rosalie and her mother. There was lots of love and laughter in the house! As I write this, the pictures from that day are in my mind and will forever be in my heart. We were celebrating several events that day...an upcoming wedding...a celebration of life...and new beginnings. What wonderful memories to...

John’s sister Joanne and I have been friends since elementary school. I had not seen John since we were children but was so sorry to hear of his passing. I pray for a calm heart for his loved ones during this painful time of loss and hope you will eventually be able to think of happy memories of John and smile again.

Thank you for being such a great friend to my grandma and grandfather and uncle to my mom and siblings for taking the time to see my family those times years ago. Maybe I can get to know more about you later in life.

I haven’t seen John in about 41 years, but we kept in touch through Facebook and shared our thoughts. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. He’ll be missed by many. May he Rest In Peace.
