A crowd surrounded us and she hit me, knocking my glasses off as I stood there crying. Mr. Dugan ran over, broke up the crowd, picked up my glasses and walked me all the way home! I have never forgotten his kindness. Thank you Mr. Dugan, thank you.

So sad to hear this, Mr Dugan was my social studies teacher at PS 54 in the early 80's I am now 44 years old and I still remember him so vividly it seems like yesterday, he was a good man and a great educator, he had a great passion and diligence and left an impact on all that encountered him.
