John H. Dunn

Sad to hear about the passing of your husband. I just learned of it this morning. Again, condolences on the loss of John.

Dearest Gail, On this anniversary of John's passing I just want you to know that when I walk in the cemetery I say "hi" to John. He may not be here physically, but I know he's in your heart and memories. I just wanted to share one of my memories. We were at the Delaney House at a retirement party for Dick Warner & Eileen Neville. John started to "roast" both of them...oh my gosh we were laughing so hard we were crying. What a STORY teller he was!! God has John now so we both know...

I still think of John often. Remembering his huge contributions to the success of the college. An amazing multi-talented man. God bless and rest his soul in peace.

Gail, I was so sad to hear of John´s demise...and you know of my great respect and love for my "old boss" of so many happy years at STCC. So happy you had each other for 38 years of love and great friendship and fun and happiness...you were an ideal couple and I thank The Lord for His blessings to you both. His tremendous sufferings in later years are now over...Rest in peace, JHD.

"Mr. D" was the best Dean and EVP ever. He was a great guy and my mentor and I had wonderful time working for him. Gail and family may God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I am so sorry to hear of John's recent passing. Having just read many of the comments posted on this site regarding John, it truly shows the high esteem in which he was held. To say John was highly intelligent, very hard-working, and extremely dedicated to STCC is an understatement to all who knew him. In so many ways, John was "Mister STCC." The comments by his many colleagues attest to this. Gail, I am so sorry for your loss. John, may you rest in peace with a cocktail in your hand...

This is Betty Bak so sorry for your loss. John was a true gentlemen and always had a Smile and a kind word, he never passed you by without saying hi and some kind and something nice to say. He will be missed.

In 1993-94,Mr. Dunn was greatly instrumental in helping to secure funding and to construct a new greenhouse for the Landscape Design and Management program at STCC. His name is engraved on the appreciation plaque in the greenhouse. We remember him as an honest, trustworthy, dedicated and hard working man. We need more John Dunn's.
