John was one of our dearest friends. We traveled with John, we drank with John, we laughed with John, we hunted and fished with John, and we loved John. We will miss him greatly.

John and I were classmates throughout all 12 grades in the Nederland School District. Texas A&M was the brother school to Texas Woman's University where I got my bachelor's degree. John visited me in the living room of one of the dorms where I lived. He was a wonderful human being who we will all see again!

I wish I had the chance to meet Mr. Eagleson. I had been told how wonderful he was from my niece. May peace be with his family.
