Also preceding him was his beloved wife of 55 years, Joyce Varenholt Eberhardt.

Pa has 9 great grandchildren Fletcher, Scout, Brynn, Jake, Collin, Alanna, Nora, Cole and Wyatt. All of whom he loved dearly.

Anyone who ever met or spoke with John knew that he never met a stranger and was always ready with a story or heaven forbid, 10!

He loved his life with his, Joyce. They enjoyed traveling and just being with each other.

The past 3 years he was a resident of Summerfield Assisted Living Residences. He spent his time making his lady friends feel special. His " hugs " are legendary.

This was a wonderfully kind and generous man. His glass was always quite full. We will miss him so much. He deserves to rest in peace!!!

Not sure what to say?

RiP Mr John we will miss you at work

I'm sorry for your loss. May happy memories of your loved one and the words of ~Isaiah 57:15 provide you with much comfort.

My Grandmother is Betty VanSandt, neighbor and good friend to Mr John. I was so sad to hear about him falling ill. Mr. John was such a class act and such a nice and kind man. I could always count on him for an interesting convo on the latest baseball and football games on tv. Always happy and smiling. He was a pleasure to spend time with. Summerfield will be a little less bright, without him around. Our family is praying for your family at this time.

Susan & Dennis, you are In my prayers. Sorry you had to go thru this during this time of year. So glad your Dad is peaceful now.

Dennis and Susan.
I am so sorry to hear this news. As you know, I just lost my Mom at the same age....You and Susan are in my thoughts and prayers.
