We join with so many others who knew John in offering our deepest sympathy to Nicky and family. Today is our chance to say "thank you" for the way John touched our lives. For those of us who knew and loved John, he graced our lives. John was unique, complex, extraordinary and irreplaceable. Everything John did, he did with such passion and every time he spoke it always came from the heart. John will be greatly missed by everyone. May you find peace and comfort in knowing his loss is felt by...

For close to 20 years I served with John in Battery E and along the way learned much more than the average individual thanks to him. I, with great pride, say that John and I drank from the same canteen and that I can count him as one of my Pards.

Its with great sadness, and a heavy heart, to know that John is no longer with us all. He was a man of true inspiration, fortitude, kindness, and the strength to also speak with his thoughts in a manner that would make the devil himself step back. John was to me, an inspiration, an adapted grandfather, a true friend, and a legacy within the reenacting community. I will miss him so very very much.
God Bless to you Nicky, and Family.

Diana I can only imagine a father such as yours, how interesting of a man, husband, and father he was. He will always smile upon you and yours. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
