Not sure what to say?

LYNN...Although we never met, I have wonderful memories of John while he was on the All Army Pistol Team at Ft. Benning, Ga. in 1955 and 1956. He and my husband, Larry Willner enjoyed each other so very much during this time that they were competitors just as they had been at West Point. John had a wonderful THUNDERBIRD (one of the first ones made) and the three of us would go out together in his car. He was such fun!! and such a good friend. I know that I speak for Larry when I write...

I have some great memories of being in Mr. Eckhardt's math class at BBS in 1966. He really made learning fun. Especially the stories of Goonbar Hares and Grumblesnatchers at Bromley! I never realized what a decorated veteran he was until I read the obituary. I remember him and Lynn and their children as such a beautiful young family.

To Johnny Eckhardt's family:

We met Johnny when he came to Virginia to visit his sister, Sue Morgan. Although your loss is great and sorely felt, please accept our sincere sympathy. He is now at peace.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Lynn and to all the Eckhardts. We have many fond memories of John over the past 40 years.
