I thought you might like to see this. I was the proud and humbled person who placed the Christmas wreath on your loved one's grave this year at Arlington National Cemetery. It was my first time doing this and it was a very moving experience. May he Rest In Peace!

Colonel John Edwards was a special person in the veterans community. He will be missed. Rest in peace, sir.

The Colonel was my mentor when I joined State service. He was a true leader by example and always faced life with humor, insight and discipline. And, he was a heck of a Bridge partner. Rest in peace, my friend, you served us well.

To Helga and the entire family my heartfelt condolences. To John, a veteran's veteran and a patriot's patriot, it was an honor to work with you, to call you my friend and to salute you one last time.

Helga, John, Laura, my thoughts and prayers are with you. May the peace of Jesus be bring you comfort at this sad time.

I am sorry to hear of John's passing. My dad served in a B-24 during WWII, then luckily got to bowl with John for years. My prayers and thoughts are with you as he goes on his final flight.

Dear Helga, It was an honor to know and work with John over the years. He will be missed by his POW friends and family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Colonel
Edwards when he visited the office of
The Adjutant General at the Division of
Military and Naval Affairs. It was an
honor to be in his presence.

I had the pleasure of working with John at the NYS Energy Office. He was a great man who lived a great life. May God bless your family at this difficult time. And to John, "thank you for your dedication and service to our Country".
