Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the Jeter family, our deepest condolences and prayers to the Egan family. My dad, Ralph, and Mr. Egan were close, long-time friends, and collegues at the Phialdelphia Stock Exchange. Our hearts are very heavy with sadness, but also with love and gratitude for the time I (we) had with my good friend, John, said Ralph.

I worked on the exchange equity floor from 1975 to 77. I was only 18 years old. John was a great man. He worked with my stepfather Michael Finnegan. Big loss for everyone. John was one of a kind for sure. R.I.P John

Rest In Peace Mr. Egan. I met John the only time at a City Council Meeting about 20 Years Ago. HE was genuine, polite and had a Great Passion for Philadelphia. He was The American Dream. Condolences to Family, Friends and all that Knew Him.

My deepest condolences to the Egan Family. I got to know John well through 21st Ward politics in the 1980´s.. He was an officer and a gentleman. A true leader Rest In Peace. Dave Singer.

I grew up with John in Kensington, so my memories are a young, very funny boy. I now admire all his accomplishments and May he rest in peace with his God. A job well done. Amen.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

RIP, my friend John Egan. I enjoyed our WVCC conversations about life, politics, sports, etc. I am so so happy that I got to know you. You were so generous and may you live in eternal peace.

John was an amazing man. He was generous, kind, thoughtful and his knowledge of politics was exceptional. He worked very hard to get qualified people elected. He truly cared about his community and was helpful to those who shared his views. He will be missed. God Bless John, may he rest in peace.
