Not sure what to say?

John Egger was never be forgotten. I am one of many that grew up when he was sheriff. Ask anyone who the sheriff was they new. Can that be said now? You new him to be a good, honest man. Some of the cases he had over the years were not always easy. You new when he was around and he received the respect of the people. He will not be forgotten.

Emma, Dan, & Deb
This world is very sad to lose such a wonderful man, but heaven has become a lot brighter. He will never be forgotten.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. John Egger was a true man of the people during his years as sheriff. He knew how to handle any situation. My father, Lloyd, worked closely with John throughout the years. They grew up in the same "neck of the woods" and worked side by side in public service positions (fire chief and sheriff) for many years. My dad passed away in December of 2006. It is comforting to think of them together reminising about the old times. Farewell John. ...

Our heart goes out to the Egger family. John will be deeply missed by all. A true legend of Meade County.

Deb and family,

So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. We know how close you were to your dad.

I was very young when I first met him. I have spent the next thirty years hearing stories of different adventures that Johnny was a key charatcer in. He was quite a man.

Dear Emma, Debbie, Dan and family-

My heart is with all of you. It does not matter how prepared we may be when we lose a loved one it is still such a difficult and bittersweet time. My thoughts are with you as you take time to honor, remember and grieve. He was an incredible man with a wonderful family.

I remember fondly the time that I spent with all of you when I was young. I have pictures of all of us in my photo album of the years at the court house in Sturgis. It makes...

Uncle John was someone I loved all my life. He and dad sent letters back and forth all the time when I was a kid. They were hilarious. Then they found the joy of tape recording and dad loved playing the tapes....the letters he could edit but the tapes we could hear all and they (on both ends) could be quite "salty". Dad never forgot John, talked about him all the time, and I think .that's one of the reasons he was so beloved by us

GOING TO MISS YOU JOHN

YOU ARE THE NICEST MAN I EVER KNEW

NO MATTER WHAT YOU AND EMMA WERE ALWAYS HAPPY
