Not sure what to say?

Rest in peace Mr. Eggert.

"A gentle giant of a man...",that's how I'd have to describe John.

It pains me to lose the 'friend' I found in him. Over the years, it was a pleasure...no, a PRIVELEDGE to work with him and Ashlin in the sale and subsequent purchase of their homes. During that search, we discovered a common bond...the knowledge and love of the great Northwoods of Wisconsin. I shall always remember John reminiscing and sharing stories of those times with me over lunch. My future visits to those...

I am truly sorry to hear of John's passing. It seemed only yesterday that he stopped by when he was in the neighborhood and we chatted.

I remember the times we spent together back in 1996 "supervising" the reconstruction work of St. James Street next to our houses here in Arlington Hts.

Being an only child it was exciting to be included in the mix. The one thing I remember most about John was his friendly smile and love for life.
God Bless

I used to live next door to John and Ashlin in the late 1970's in Chicago, he will always be remembered as a terrific person and great neighbor. His art works will live on through the years as a testament to his enormous artistic skills. Did you know he was a chef too? I remember one time he caught some salmon and decided to marinate them for a barbecue, well I have to tell you, the way John prepared those fish, I have to say it was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. He will...

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
