John Dirk Eggink Jr.

I graduated as valedictorian in 1974 with a 4.0 GPA. I took every math, science, chemistry and physics classes offered at Oakridge and also earned 11 varsity letters in extracurricular activities. I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Eggink's passing. I have always thought that Oakridge gave me the very BEST education possible, anywhere. Mr. Eggink was one of my favorite teachers and coaches. I graduated as Valedictorian in 1974 and feel that I got an excellent education in Oakridge due in part to his commitment to opening our eyes to the world around us. My condolences to his family. If there is going to be a memorial service, I would like attend.
