John Dell Eidson 1939-2012

Mr. John Dell Eidson, age 72, of Panama City Beach, Florida went home to be with the Lord Monday night, May 7, 2012. Mr. Eidson was born on October 22, 1939 to the late Charles Harvel and Mary Clyde Eidson. He grew up and lived most of his life in the Atlanta, GA area. He had lived in the Panama City Beach area for the past three years. He loved woodworking and could fix anything. He was retired from Star Packaging. John loved the Lord and was a Christian. John will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Mr. Eidson was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Silvers and Mary Ann Parker; and one grandson, John Jacob Powell.
Mr. Eidson is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Ivie Eidson of Panama City Beach; children, Chandler D. Eidson (Jan) of Fayetteville, Mark W. Eidson (Karen) of McDonough, and Sherry E. Yarbrough of Fayetteville; grandchildren; Christina Eidson Howell, Michael Cearley, Chandler, Jr., Taija Cearley, Daniel Eidson, Chellzee Cearley, Shaun Eidson and Lauren Eidson; great-grandchildren: Savannah Cearley, Hannah and Trey Howell and Brian Howarth, Jr.; brothers; C.H. Eidson, Jr., of Williamson, GA.; Frank Hyde of Pensacola, FL.; many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends also survive.
A funeral service for Mr. Eidson will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with cremation to follow service. Rev. Jack Bartlett and Dr. Roger Hogle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM prior to the service.
